Warranty Information

Our Warranty Promise

We don't make promises we can't keep. Every roof we install is backed by a straightforward 10-year workmanship warranty on our labor and installation. No fine print designed to get us off the hook, no inflated claims about coverage that disappears when you actually need it. Just honest protection from the team that built your roof.

10-Year Workmanship Warranty

This is our warranty — covering the labor and installation performed by our crew. If we did it wrong, we fix it. Simple as that.

What's Covered

Installation Defects

If our work was done incorrectly — improper flashing, poor nail placement, faulty underlayment installation — we come back and fix it at no cost to you.

Leak From Workmanship

If your roof leaks because of how we installed it, not because of storm damage or material failure, we repair it. Period.

Code Compliance

Every roof we install meets or exceeds Florida Building Code. If an inspector identifies an issue with our work, we correct it immediately.

Flashing & Sealant

Pipe boots, vent flashing, ridge caps, and all sealant work performed during installation are covered under our workmanship warranty.

What's Not Covered

We believe in being upfront. Our workmanship warranty does not cover the following, and any contractor who says otherwise is not being straight with you:

  • Storm damage, hurricanes, hail, lightning, or other acts of God
  • Normal wear and tear over time
  • Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs by other contractors
  • Failure to maintain the roof (clogged gutters, debris buildup, moss/algae left untreated)
  • Damage from falling trees, branches, or other external objects
  • Issues caused by structural problems unrelated to the roof installation

Manufacturer Material Warranties

Every roofing material carries its own warranty from the manufacturer. These are separate from our workmanship warranty — the manufacturer covers their product, we cover our work.

Important: The warranty periods below are typical ranges. Your specific warranty depends on the exact product and manufacturer. We provide complete manufacturer warranty documentation with every project so you know exactly what you have.

Asphalt Shingles

25 - 50 years

Depends on the product line. Architectural shingles typically carry longer warranties than 3-tab. Most major brands (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed) offer tiered warranty levels based on the specific product.

Tile Roofing

50+ years

Concrete and clay tiles are among the longest-lasting roofing materials available. The tiles themselves can outlast the underlayment beneath them. Manufacturer warranties vary, but the material itself often exceeds its warranty period.

Metal Roofing

40 - 50 years

Standing seam metal roofs typically carry 40-50 year manufacturer warranties on the panels. Paint and finish warranties are often separate and may be shorter (20-25 years). Fastener-based systems may have different terms.

TPO / Flat Roofing

15 - 25 years

TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen systems carry manufacturer warranties ranging from 15 to 25 years depending on the membrane thickness and installation method. Some manufacturers offer extended warranties when installed by certified contractors.

The Honest Truth About Roof Warranties

Most homeowners don't read the fine print until something goes wrong. Here's what you should know before you need to know it.

01

Storms Change Everything

A 30-year warranty sounds great until a major storm rolls through and the manufacturer says the damage isn't covered. Most manufacturer warranties exclude weather events. That is not us being negative — that is how the industry works. Your homeowner's insurance is your real protection against storm damage. Make sure your policy is current and adequate.

02

Maintenance Matters

Both our workmanship warranty and manufacturer warranties require that you maintain your roof. This does not mean anything extreme — keep gutters clean, remove debris, trim overhanging branches, and address small issues before they become big ones. Neglect your roof and you risk voiding your coverage. We are happy to advise on a maintenance schedule specific to your roof type.

03

Don't Let Others Touch It

If another contractor makes modifications to your roof — installs a satellite dish, cuts in a new vent, patches a section without proper technique — it can void both our workmanship warranty and the manufacturer warranty. Before anyone works on your roof, call us first. We will either handle it or advise you on how to proceed without jeopardizing your coverage.

Warranty FAQ

Straight answers to the most common warranty questions we get from homeowners.

Our workmanship warranty covers defects in labor and installation performed by our crew. If your roof leaks or fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no charge. This includes improper flashing, faulty underlayment installation, nail placement issues, and sealant failures from the original installation. It does not cover storm damage, normal wear and tear, or problems caused by other contractors working on your roof.
A workmanship warranty covers the labor — how the roof was installed. A manufacturer warranty covers the materials — the shingles, tiles, metal panels, or membrane itself. These are two separate warranties from two separate entities. We stand behind our installation work for 10 years. The manufacturer stands behind their product for whatever period they specify (typically 25-50 years depending on the material). You need both to be fully protected.
Our workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by storms, hurricanes, or other acts of God. That is what your homeowner's insurance policy is for. Manufacturer warranties also typically exclude storm damage. We will be straightforward with you: any contractor who tells you their warranty covers hurricane damage is not being honest. What our warranty does cover is ensuring the roof was installed correctly so it has the best possible chance of withstanding severe weather.
Yes. Basic roof maintenance is required to keep your warranty active. This means keeping gutters clean, removing debris from the roof surface, trimming back overhanging tree branches, and not allowing other contractors to make modifications without consulting us first. If a problem develops, report it promptly rather than letting it get worse. We are happy to advise on maintenance — just call us.
Call us directly at (941) 350-7501. We will schedule an inspection, usually within a few business days, to assess the issue. If the problem falls under our workmanship warranty, we repair it at no cost. If it is a material defect, we help you file a claim with the manufacturer. We keep records of every job we complete, so the process is straightforward.
